What's a Happy
Growing up in the South, there was a tradition I always loved. Every now and then, someone would show up with a little gift. It wasn’t anyone’s birthday or a holiday or special occasion. Just a little inexpensive “happy,” we called it. Just because.
Over the years, I've given and received a lot of happies. Tiny reminders that life doesn't have to wait for a special occasion to be celebrated.
When Mark and I started talking about what to call this company, that tradition kept coming to mind, because what we're making isn't really about overalls.
It's about expression, comfort, color, creativity. It’s about the little things that make ordinary days feel a little lighter and more joyful.
We hope these overalls become the kind of thing you reach for again and again. The thing you throw on before heading to a concert, a farmers market, a road trip, a backyard gathering, or a quiet morning with coffee.
A Happy. Something that makes you smile every time you put it on.
That's where the name came from. And that's still the intention behind all of it: to make something good, to make it well, and to put a little more joy into the world.
